The brief for this house was for a modern gabled home, taking inspiration from rural architecture.

There are three bedrooms with ensuites located within the home and a separate stand-alone flat for guests.  The majority of the house is clad in metal standing-seam Spanlok with the main living wing in a slim profile brick.  The brick has been laid unevenly, plastered and painted to create a rustic look and provide a textural quality.  The timber windows add superior thermal efficiency as well as providing warmth and contrast to the Flaxpod cladding.

To create the timeless interior, there was a focus on natural, quality materials in a muted palette.  Granite, wood, stone and wool products were all effectively used throughout and softened further with aged brass elements.
